IBM: Design Researcher

IBM Design Researcher

I began at IBM in the summer of 2019. The first prompt I was given was:

The journey to a hybrid multi-cloud environment for POWER enterprise customers is disjointed and difficult. How can it be improved?”

I didn’t understand one bit of this prompt. I tried my best to form questions but the answers just confused me more. I felt like I was conducting interviews in a different language, perhaps on a different planet.

But I returned to the most basic and essential of design tools: words. Long before Sketch or Adobe existed, people crafted with stories and spoken word. My teammates and I began piecing together an elaborate metaphor.
